Today is the first day of autumn, so it is a good time to reflect on what we have achieved so far in 2014. Did you make any resolutions or have good intentions for the year?

It’s not too late to bring in positive changes.
We are what we think… so it is important to be optimistic about what we believe or say… it is up to us to bring positive aspirations into our lives. When we are feeling good about ourselves, or when we are in good spirits, endorphins (naturally produced by the body and designed to relieve stress and enhance pleasure) are released to the brain and this gives us an overwhelming feeling of contentment and happiness.
What if the universe wanted to offer us our heart’s desire….how would that feel? There are many self-help books out there that teach us how to be more positive; how to manifest abundance.
Is it okay to wish for good things for ourselves? We all breathe the same air; we all dwell under the same sky and in the scheme of things we are totally interdependent on each other. We are part of the collective consciousness and if we wish for something good for ourselves…it can only have a positive effect on the universe at large.
What is holding you back from feeling the way that you want to right now? Are your thoughts positive or negative? Negative beliefs can be powerful, but by turning them into positive statements you will be aware of more rewarding experiences happening.
It’s easier said than done, I know, and often difficult to know how to get started.
A classic example is when asked how we are… we respond ‘not bad’! …..still a negative remark. ‘I’m great’; okay, ‘I’m good’, if it has been a demanding day – we all have these sort of days, but a positive comment wins every time!
You can take the first step by being thankful for the good things in your life. Every night before you go to sleep… think about 3 things that happened during your day that you have appreciated. It can be something small….a smile form a friend; a neighbour taking in a parcel or something special that happened that day.
You create your own mood, only you can make yourself feel bad. If someone upsets you – it is your reaction to their behaviour that brings you down. Don’t give them permission to change your mood. You have your own power and inner wisdom and strengths; you can feel good about yourself no matter what! When you start with positive thinking… it’s amazing how your life gets better. You feel better. You get the job you want. You have the money you need. Your relationships improve or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin.
Start your positive thoughts this autumn…
